CLINICAL CASES

- INCONTINENCE - GINJA – Dog, Female, Age: 5 years, Breed Labrador Retriever -

Ginja had been adopted about 1.5 months before the 1st session of Acupuncture, after having two other families in the 6 months preceding this last adoption, becoming an extremely fearful animal.
The dog had been subjected to an ovariohysterectomy (sterilization) six months before that 1st session of Acupuncture, and from the time of castration proved Urinary Incontinent, with dripping, in greater or lesser quantities, particularly during the rest sleeps, but also when there was a situation that will provoke an uncontrolled stress.
Simple Acupuncture was made of selected points in treatment sessions lasting about 20 minutes.
There was a total of 10 sessions within 6 months.

After the 2nd session of Acupuncture and until the 6th session the dog began to not urinate the bed at night, and during the day only had loss of urine whenever suffered some fright.
After the 6th session and by the end of the treatment Ginja no longer presentwith urinary incontinent at night, seems to have less "fears" and not scare so easily, and does not always drip when these moments of less frequent stress occur.
